What is Movie Maker?

 

Movie Maker is a video editing/creating software application which lets users edit their own home movies.  It contains features like effects, transitions, title/credits, audio track, timeline narration and Auto Movie.  You can upload pictures and video clips to make your own personalized movie.

 

 

Hands on Activity 

 

The students will put together a movie based on a specific planet of their choice.  The movie will include:

-3 facts about your planet

-1 photo of your planet

 

The planets that the students can choose from are: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (Dwarf Planet).

Criteria for video:

 

-Must be at no more than 3 slides

-Must include 3 facts

-Must include at least 1 photo

 

 

 

What are the classroom uses for Movie Maker?

 

Movie Maker is a great application for all teachers to use.  Teachers can use this application to make a movie that they plan to teach, adding to lessons or even as a review for the students.
