What is Movie Maker?

 

Movie Maker is a video editing/creating software application which lets users edit their own home movies.  It contains features like effects, transitions, title/credits, audio track, timeline narration and Auto Movie.  You can upload pictures and video clips to make your own personalized movie.

 

 

Instructions on how to make a movie in Movie Maker 

 

1.  Create slides using Powerpoint.

2.  Save slides-File-Save Slides-Other Formats-Drop down to GIF

3.  Open MovieMaker

4.  Import slides

5.  Drag slides down to storyline

6.  Adjust time per slide

7.  Import music-drag and adjust

8.  Add video effects

9.  Add video transitions

10.  Make titles and/or credits

11.  Save to computer

 

When finished, save to my computer, choose location, and allow it to save.

 

 

What are the classroom uses for Movie Maker?

 

Movie Maker is a great application for all teachers to use.  Teachers can use this application to make a movie that they plan to teach, adding to lessons or even as a review for the students.
